Lions have always been an animal that has interested me. It is crazy to think how much power the Lion has over the rest of animals in the jungle. The size of Lions is really what impresses me most about the animal. Some male Lions have reached the size of 150 kilograms or 550 pounds!! Lions size and power is so impressive because male Lions can grow up to 6 feet long, and female Lions can grow up to 5 feet long. Another thing that really intrigues me about Lions, is the difference between male and females. Male Lions have long, flowing manes that is one of the most recognizable images in the world. Female Lions do not have long, flowing made and that makes the physical characteristics different. What is also interesting about Lions is that the female Lion is the one that provides the food for her and her family. The male Lions stay behind and look over the cubs and the younger ones of their pride.
